“Instead of playing house, I used to play school. I would
place my dolls in a row and I had an easel and I would pretend to be the
teacher. And as I grew I up, I continued to want to be a teacher because I
think I had a built in passion. That it was important to make a real
contribution in the world and to fix all the injustices that existed in the
world. And I wanted to do that through teaching”.

“It was very rewarding. It made me feel whole, it made me
feel creative. And so it became my lifelong work. Early Childhood Education and
the passion to make sure that all children were taught in environments and in
ways that truly nurtured their ability to grow and develop to their fullest
ability”.

“I’m not here to save the world. I’m here just to make a
difference in the community I work in. And to me making a difference may just
mean helping one child to be successful in the classroom. For me that one
little sparkle will make a difference for me” .
